I am going to dispense with the pleasantries and get right to it.  My question is this … IF YOU ARE NOT MORALLY OUTRAGED BY THE ACTIONS OF YOUR FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN BLUE, THEN I DEMAND TO KNOW WHY!!!  That also goes out to any fellow Canadians, who actually gives a shit about what is going on our very own soil.

What am I talking about?  I am OUTRAGED at the news reports of an innocent young man gun down by the RCMP outside a restaurant in British Columbia, all because he was wearing a “Guy Fawkes” mask and supposedly carrying a knife.  A ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE OFFICER, made the Supreme decision to be Judge, Jury and Executioner, with the pull of a trigger.   How can ANYONE be proud of such an act of cowardice and lack of sensitivity?  Your actions in one fell swoop, deprived a family and the community, of whatever his future had to offer.  I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOUR EXCUSE IS OR EVER WILL BE, YOU HAD BETTER GET ON YOUR KNEES AND BEG FOR GOD’S MERCY, because there was, is and ever will be, any justification for YOUR ACTIONS.  I hope and pray that your conscience eats away at you like a cancer until you make this right.  Take responsibility and take your lumps and maybe, just maybe, you will be a shining example for others to follow in order to restore our community’s trust and faith in all of you.  This is not the first senseless shooting resulting in death, but it CAN BE the last!!!

Why is it when an “officer is killed”, the whole world has to put up with you folks, Boys and Girls in blue,  grieving all over the place, shutting down traffic and demanding justice?  But when ONE OF OUR OWN senselessly goes down at the hands of the Police, you try and shift the blame elsewhere!!!  YOU CANNOT DEMAND RESPECT FROM A COMMUNITY AT GUNPOINT.  They tried that in Nazi Germany and look how that worked out for all involved.

I am Canadian.  I am also a Grandmother and a valued member of my community, country and global family.  I do not want my Granddaughter (nor anyone else’s child) to grow up and be exposed to you folks, when this is how you act in OUR COUNTRY.  I have had just about enough of the militarized tactics that you badge carrying, trigger happy so-called human beings have been dishing out to the very people you ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING AND SERVING.  It is not brave to show up to a “call” and draw your weapon, taking an innocent life.  You are not Judge, Jury and Executioner.  YOU ARE NOT THE LAW!!!  You are supposed to be UPHOLDING the law, which by the way, means you hold yourselves to a higher standard for all to reach.  Not this “do as I say, not as I do” mentality, all the while point a gun at someone.

You wonder why the citizens of every country around this beautiful planet has NO FAITH AND TRUST in you Boys and Girls?  It is because you act as if there is no accountability where your actions are involved; yet you hold a blade to everyone else’s throat and DEMAND RESPECT!!!  Grow up and stop acting in this manner.

For those of you that still have a fully functioning Heart, Mind and Moral Compass, I plead with you to CLEAN UP YOUR OWN DAMN HOUSES, before you allow your fellow officers to kick in our doors and destroying whatever is left that is good and wholesome about BEING CANADIAN, let alone HUMAN.  We are supposed to be the PEACEKEEPERS OF THE WORLD, but you would never know it by the absolute brute force, WITHOUT ACCOUNTABILITY, that is being seen everywhere.

There is no need for all of this to be going on in our community, country and/or world and you are the ones that can change it.  You seem to have no problem with us, in the community, when you are not in uniform (gun/badge), so why is it when you “gear-up”, that your mentality and morality becomes a problem?  I implore you to STOP ACTING IN THIS MANNER and return yourselves to a place of peace and balance, inspiring others in the community to do so as well.  What is so wrong with being the “Sheriff, Andy Griffith”, instead of Rambo on steroids?

Sincerely and with as much Love as I can muster, Granny

Good Morning One and All,

“If you had only one day with unlimited wishes fulfilled, what would our world look like?”.  Would you use that potential to create a positive environment for all to thrive, or would you keep it close to the vest, as the saying goes.  I have pondered this question, for myself, many times and am quite certain that our world would look vastly different.

I hope and pray that you will take the time to contemplate such an idea.  Give your angels and spiritual support something to aim for while you go about your day.  You never know until you give it a whirl!!!

Kaida’s first day in our home February 16th, 2014.  We believe she was no more than a year old.

Baby photos, taken four days after birth (April 24th, 2014)

The rest are self explanatory and please use your imagination when viewing them.  What they are saying at the time that the picture is being taken? (it is much more fun that way!!!)

I hope you enjoyed them as much as I AM.  I will provide more as they come available.  It is difficult to capture those “Kodak” moments when I do not always have a camera available.  Most times when I witness those tender and/or hilarious moments that they wish to share with me, by the time I return with a camera, they have disappeared to another adventure.

I will provide an update on the Complaint filed with the Ontario Veterinarian College against the two veterinarians, Dr. Laurie Brown and Dr. Aimee Filion of the Haliburton Veterinary Clinic, as soon as possible.  It will be an interesting read for sure.

Until then, and always,

Much Love and Blessings, Granny

Greetings Everyone,

This is the promised update on Kaida’s kittens.  This picture provides the proof that with the proper love, care and compassion, miracles truly exist.  They are enjoying their breakfast with Kaida waiting in the wings for any morsel they wish to leave behind.  She is such a great mother!!!

All are doing well, growing in size and getting healthier every day.  Unfortunately, they will continue to live their lives with chronic respiratory problems but will be provided with the best of love and care so as to minimize the discomfort.  It is sometimes hard to convince people of their hardship in the beginning; however, I have proof in prior pictures which I may share with you some day for comparison.  Those pictures bring back very unpleasant memories for me, ripping at my Heart and Soul, and living through it once was bad enough.  I would rather concentrate on the positive and honor their lives with the best that my Heart can provide.  I believe that this is THEIR best medicine in order for them to thrive.

Now to introduce my Grandkittens, as I affectionately call them, starting with the ones facing the camera from left to right, Raphael, Sophia (pronounced So-phi-ah), Michaelangelo and Dot is facing them.  Miss Sophia was born first, Michael was second in line, then Dot and fourth, Raphael.   As of June 24th, 2015, their last trip to the Vet confirms their weight at Sophia just barely 10 pounds, Michael 16+ pounds, Dot 15+ pounds and Raphael 13+ pounds. They can often times be found hugging while sleeping or grooming each other when in need.  Sometimes it can feel like having four, 4 year olds, in the house and other times, like having four angels present.  One of the reasons we cancelled our cable television subscription was because the Grandkittens provided more than their fair share of entertainment.

I will sign off for now and attempt to provide another post with a collage of pictures for all to view.  Take good care of yourselves, each other and most especially, those MOST in need with as much Love, Care and Compassion as possible.  Namaste, to One and All.

Much Love and Blessings, Granny

Good Morning Everyone,

I pray that you are having a great weekend filled with wonderment and fun.  If you find yourself not having such an experience, then I pray that the blessings of the Universe will provide peace and comfort through your time of trials and tribulations.

I realize that it is time to provide an update on the “Grand-kittens”, and that article will be forthcoming, as soon as I can get some photos to accompany it.  Their journey is just another wonderful example of the miracle and power of Love.  I am excited to share it with you, so stay tuned!!!

In the meantime, take the time to find your “Happy Place” and share your gifts with everyone you encounter today.  A simple heartfelt smile accompanied with a warm “Hello” goes a long way and does not cost you anything.  Be well, play safe and remember that someone is thinking about you right now and cares that you are a part of the “Human Family”.

Much Love and Blessings, Granny

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you had a good night’s rest and feel ready to greet the day.  I stayed up late to write this article and did not have an easy time writing it.

As humans, we tend to have more difficulty expressing the language of the heart, than with any other part of our Being.  What is it about the heart and how it operates that confuses us so?  This is a question that I have pondered for the better part of my life and am still amazed by the responses that I receive from myself and others.  The heart appears to be this mechanical organ that functions to keep us alive; but is that all, or is there more to this mystery?

This is what my observations and conclusions have come up with thus far.  The heart is more than just a “pumping station” and has a very large capacity to Love beyond measure and/or reason.  My own life’s experiences have proven this in spades!!!  The heart has an intelligence and language all of it’s own and does not concern itself with gender, race, bloodlines, religion, etc. in order to fully function.  The only thing the heart concerns itself with, is that it “feels” a strong connection with another.  It matters not if that “other” happens to be man, woman, child, animal, plant, planet, it just knows it feels a bond.

I have experienced many forms of Love.  Some were rather pleasant, while others were not, in my humble opinion, what Love looks and feels like.  The best, most pleasant and rewarding is the Love that is shared between a Grandmother and Grandchild.   Like music to my ears when I hear that child’s voice say … “Granny”.  Watching her observe, learn and grow over the years has fascinated me and inspired me to be a better person.  My life changed in so many ways after she came into my life.  I never saw so much pink in my entire life, AND it started to filter into my wardrobe.  It seemed every gift I received HAD TO BE pink, so that it would match her color ensemble.  My heart softened and expanded with every passing year, making more room for future cherished memories.

Watching her facial expressions at the realization of herself in the mirror for the very first time, her first day of school, learning to read, learning to swim, learning to ride her big girl bike and my Heart sings on!!!  She is an Earth Angel and I call her my Angel Girl.  As her eyes light up with excitement for life’s adventures, my heart melts at the mere sight.  Seeing the world through her eyes gives me hope and appreciation for a better tomorrow.  I learn so much from her and I am sure she does not even know it.   She can make me laugh and brightens my day when life seems a little less kind.  A hug, kiss and a simple, “I Love You Granny”, for no other reason than just because, leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.  Thoughts of winning the lottery, pale in comparison, because there is no amount of money that could top that!!!  Memories like these, put it all in perspective, and reminds me of what is really important.

I look forward to the many years ahead of sharing, loving, laughing and learning with my Angel Girl.  I only hope and pray that I do not get too old and uncool for her to “hang with”.  Something inside my heart tells me that it is highly unlikely to happen, based upon watching her interact with her Great Grandmother, who has since passed away.  She still talks about her “Nama” and all of the crazy stuff they used to get up to, after exhausting me first with her version of playtime.

I am grateful, each and every day, for the blessing of her in my life and the profound effect that she has had on me.  To you My Angel Girl, I wish to say, “I Love You, I believe in you and I trust that you will always find the silver-lining, in any dark cloud”.   You are AWESOME, POSSUM!!!

Well, time to get my weary old bones to bed.  The Sun rises pretty early in our neck of the woods and the neighbor’s rooster crows rather loudly.  Take good care of each other, safe journey and hold steadfast to a brighter future.

Much Love and Blessings, Granny

Sorry for the delay folks, I know it has been a few days.  The next article is taking a little more time than I had intended.  Just know that I will make it worth the wait.

In the meantime, play safe, be loving and kind, don’t take any wooden nickels and always remember to wear clean under garments.

Much Love and Blessings, Granny
